Should be getting the old girl (Chimaera 500) back in just under two weeks, outline spec below, just wondering if anyone has a similar build spec...

V8Dev new 5.0 short motor with H beam rods and forged pistons
H404 cam
my original 500 heads with new guides and additional porting
Manifold ported and matched to heads and trumpet base
ACT CF triple throttle plenum with 45mm trumpets
High flow injectors
pre-cats removed
Megasquirt fuel & ignition (coil packs & wasted spark)

Yes. Mine's similar, but the branding of parts is a bit different and I did all the work in my garage a couple of winters ago.

If yours doesn't make top side of 320bhp & 350ftlbs I'd be looking for where the missing horses are hiding.

Hi dnb, yep I'm expecting a good bit more than 320, will be putting her on the RR sometime after I've run her in, will post the results up.

ps: same RR I had her on before so should make for a good comparison.

Being a bit optimistic, it would be nice to think you could make somewhere around 350n if the red line is "conservative". I was being a bit conservative in case it's a really hot day...

I would be very keen to see the charts when you get it tested! I have a feeling the ACT plenum might become a restriction at the top end, depending on the car it's in.

350 was the target figure but a few of the mods are recent additions on top of the original build spec, so who knows ? not going to guess, tbh if she's got a solid 350 I'll be a very happy man
