Re: Choke cable attachment to edelbrock
The hole is not really meant for a screw but you can always drill it out if you wish. You can bend a 'Z' into the single strand choke cable and feed it into the hole on the lever.martyn123 wrote:http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l88/p ... 020360.jpg

On my carb I soldered 'clevis' that you can buy from model shops, I don't use the threaded adjuster the you get with some, I just solder the thing straight onto the choke wire.
BTW alot of people don't use the choke including me, I have removed the actual choke flap, I only use the fast idle part of the mechanism.
Finally if your carb is brand new you should re-jet it to suit your engine, if you don't it may well run rich which is very bad for the cylinder bores.
Finally, finally, your post is in the 'for sale section' ???
Hi,
Thanks for the quick reply, its definately not for sale ! Apologies for posting in the wrong section,
The engine was built up by v8dev and they had it up and running before i picked it up so should be all set up properly.
I think there must be a screw fitment of some sort rather than soldering and thought i would enquire here before making the hole bigger, any other suggestions appreciated,

Martyn.
