More help please>> Removed the dizzy to gain access to oil pump gear, now engine will not tick over with out choke?? have set timing with gun & noted that in order for engine to run the dizzy has to be moved anticlock before mark i made on timing cover. Does rev well/ drive ok but will not tick over below 1000 rpm
engine is rover v8 3.5 from 1987 110 landrover
was working great before removed dizzy :x :x

what have you set the timing at?
set it around 6 BTDC as a base setting,

Was set at something like that also was wondering if HT leads have gone in wrong place do thay need moving back/forwrd so i could bring the dizzy back to original positionl

I suspect you inadvertently moved the distributor one tooth on the camshaft.

Best bet is to retime for no. 1 TDC (plenty of threads on there on the subject), and start again.
