Mine is 35 years old from Smiths and still works ok :)

Nearly there with the wiring now- forgot I had connected my fuel pump and told my sister she could flick the switches in the dash which quickly resulted in half a gallon of fuel over the entire engine :(

At least the pump works  man those holleys push some juice!

Getting there! We got the exhaust back on (took bloody ages to do the drivers side), more wiring (doesn't seem to stop!!!), starter back on, oil and water senders in, oil pressure light in dash, more soldering etc etc etc!

Might fire her up this week, looking a bit tight to get it mot'd and finished in time for North Weald on the 9th though :? !!

and how cool is it... That if you just put a reverse gear in the blower drive, you'll have a hairdressers car with a built in hair dryer :)

seriously - just wanted to let ya know that I think it looks bloody spankin! I don't think I'll be able to look at the missus's boxter without picturing an old school blower poking up through the top... Hmm mid engined supercharged v8 cayenne engined boxster project????

Awesome job TC!!

Found a downside to satin black though- my hands are rough enough to scratch it when I rub it! Will have to keep moisturising

SHE'S A RUNNER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After a few very short attempts and a couple of short calls to the incredibly helpful mr Jim Robinson it fired straight up and I ran it for a good 20mins at 2-2500rpm, a bit lean according to the AFR gauge but ran ok and will have to play with the carb again anyway. Temp sat at about 83degs, oil pressure came straight up and sat between approx 50-60psi, got an oil leak from the filter housing or may be the pressure sender but not major.

So after that run I let it cool down a bit, and have now stuck the blower on top, re-cut the fuel lines and go cable to fit, belt on and ready to go! I'll put some richer rods in first and get it to run near enough, then get the new brakes on and drive it round the block!

After today I'm a VERY happy bunny :D

cheers for your help again btw Rich!
