retightening ARP head studs?

retightening ARP head studs?

Hi..

I just wonder do Rover v8 ARP head stud´s need retightening? I just drive about 30km my new motor and i need to adjust valve clearances now, and i can retightening studs at same time if it necessary?

So any info?

If you have access to the studs I would retighten them and 30km is probably an ideal time.

They do not need re-torqued.

However...should you decide to do so...you should loosen each one by say a full turn, then retorque.
Dont just try and tighten them further...as usually they dont budge.

never retorqued my ARP heads studs.
