Hello Ian,
I have a 4.6 residing in my P6B.
The engine is fitted with an SD1 timing cover while all other ancillaries are of P6 origin.
Everything fits just the same, LOA is the same, width the same, no problems were encountered at all.
A spacer is used with the pulley on the cranksaft nose, and the front section of the P6 sump needed to be "relieved" to accomodate the stoke of the crank, but apart from that.....
Ron.

Can I run a serp type cover and pump with a P6 bottom pulley as I dont need a dissy, or will I need to change my cam? or will the waterpump get in the way ,
I think I would prefer to run a serp front, if possible,

4.6 GEMS cover dimensions
The front cover on my GEMS 4.6 measures just 5 inches from the block face to the front of the crank pulley.
I have a photo that I'll post if someone can tell me how.
