probly not the right place to ask but some one might know...
im tryign to get hold of a shaft to replace an MFD one but be longer, i would like 100mm longer but anything would be an advantage.
i think rover 200 ones are a bit longer but im dout by much, does anyone know of anything that could help?
failing that il look in to custom made ones but i would rather stick to std ones as its probly much much cheaper and spars available.

It would surprise you that I have seen guys simply cut, and weld shafts together, and they never have any problems. Ive seen this on some cars running 10secs !!!!!
Just jig em in a lathe, and weld away.
I even did a brutal DIY repair on one of mine once at Santa Pod when I had the original Ford IRS rear. I didnt load it up too much, but it got me home safely.
