Ok My block is at Thurstons, they have done a pressure test and it's all fine.
I thought it's worth getting the cam bearings changed.
Also I'm going to need to fit new rings.
Should I get a hone or just a de-glaze.
my main problem its going to be dificault to run the engine in.
so any advice will be handy. as I've never gone to this extreme before.
It's a 4.0 X-bolted block and it's going to rev to 6.5K 7k max. only going to be used on a track, but will only be tuned to about 230BHP
Thanks
Leigh

The problem I will have it will be difficault to run the engine with load.
unless having the gearbox in 4 or 5 and the wheels in the air, will give enough load to run the engine in.
as you can glaze the bores if there is no load.

Don't think I have the room, or know anyone with a dyno, that would let me borrow one. not sure many people would lend me one.kiwicar wrote:Borrow an engine Dyno and run it in on the water break as you set it up ?

well I did ask if just driving the wheels in the air would cause enough load, esp in 4th or 5th.Spag wrote:Weld some nice big curved paddles on to some spare rims at an angle like a bike turbo trainer for an air resistance brake ?
