Short remote LT77

Post by ian.stewart »

Just spotted this, its on Fleabay,
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Rover-SD1-V8-Gear ... dZViewItem
What is unusual on it is the Remote, he says its from a Taxi, but it bears a remarkable similarity to the very rare Jag remote!!!

Does look like a jag.

I've got two jag ones that look the same.
It's taken longer than I thought !!

Its a big shed when it overs Watford to Edinburgh.

If it was not for these short remote I would have to squeeze a seat into the back of the Spitfire and get a little person to change gear for me.

Are they really that rare, a friends Dad gave me my two.

What model Jag did they come from, I know a man who breaks jags and has a barn full of bits.

series 3 XJs I seem to remember, they were not used for very long, hence their rarity, If you can get the box as well, its meant to be the same as the vitesse box with the stronger shot piened gears,
The box from a 2.8 would be a better choice as its less liable to be worn,
