flywheel bolts

Post by Devonrod »

I got a set of ARP flywheel bolts for my Rover V8, which are really Chevy ones but the same size, the instructions say 85lbs torque, Loctite 242 on threads, ARP lube under heads, as the RV8 flywheel torque is 60 lbs is this 85 lbs just for the Chevy ?

From my own experience I would use the Rover torque setting Denis as these bolts wont stretch when in place. ? There are no special instructions from Real Steel when using these bolts for the Rover ?

Thanks Pel, real steel sold them years ago with a different part number, the part number they now use is the Chevy number, which is the same as I purchased off the net, they don't even list them for a RV8 on the ARP website.
