Just checking the coolant water level on my Rover V8 and on removing the pressure cap I realised that there is no pressure release figure identified on it. Does the cap include a pressure release or should I add a separate one In the top hose? Car is not on the road yet but I have had it idling up to working temperature okay.
As usual TIA.

Re: Rover V8 cooling question.
Yes it has a pressure relief so no need to add one.
An alternative cap without level sensor NTC7161 shows a 15psi relief value.
