Plenum heater hose connections.

Post by jenand40 »

I have a SD1 3.5 engine with the short nose water pump and am fitting a hotwire injection system to it.
Could I please get help with the plenum water hose connections.
One of the small hoses to the plenum bottom heater connection comes from the stub on the inlet manifold, adjacent to the coolant temp sensor, but where does the other hose from the plenum go?
The inlet manifold does not have the pipe that runs underneath for the connections to the heater, but it has two pipes with a raised filler/bleed tower that run adjacent to the offside rocker cover.
Photos would be very helpful.
Many thanks.
Andy.

The 'hot-spot' on the plenum as you say takes it's feed from next to the coolant temp sensor. The return tee'd into one of the return hoses to the water pump.

I think I would just blank it off to start with, I am sure it will be fine in this climate.

Thank you, Chris. Blanking it off will be a lot easier. Didn't think I could do that.
