It is a carb (Edelbrock) and after changing the manifold and carb i have a temp-guage in the red field, but no real signs of overheating!!

I think he just wants to know what connection is flow and what is return. It shouldn't matter if its efi or carb. Cant help myself as I have never used the 4x4 stuff.

Im pretty sure they are both inlets aren't they. Thats how i got mine wired up anyway. There is an outlet from the back of the manifold to the heater, then from the heater to one of those hoses in the back of the pump. There is also a thermostat bypass on the front of the manifold (or there should be. It may be on the thermostat housing if you got the righ one) that attaches to the other inlet in the back of the pump. I have an offy manifold. dont know what yours is, but im pretty sure that's it. they are both inlets.

Thanks for the effort. Indeed, both the pipes ar inlet!!
"overheating" must be a not correct working thermostat.(wishfull thinking)
Temp sender already changed!
