rear leafs to strut

Post by clinchy »

hey people,

im new on here and have signed up for some help on my next project.

i have 1974 datsun 120y saloon which i want to drop a V8 into, my main concern is the weak looking rear suspension setup.

i want to do away with the leaf springs and run a four-link setup.

is there anywhere that sells kits or can fabricate me a kit?

many thanks.

luke.

Luke,

Welcome to the forum, there are quite a few people doing 4 link kits and of course with most of these you need a Panhard rod for lateral location.

You could try Pop Browns who do loads of stuff including 4 link kits.

Alternatively you could try Real Steel who I think also do a kit.

cheers kevin.

im hoping to bring the links more towards the centre of the car and run a narrow axel so i can fit some wide wheels under the rear.

im pretty sure im going to have to cut the boot completly out and fab myself a rear frame up to support al this :(
