Tyre sizes

Post by Paul V8 »

Hello, i have a triumph TR7 and have some MGF 16 wheels to fit but am unsure what size tyres to use. The old wheels are 13 inch diameter and 5.5 inches wide with a tyre of 185/70R13. The new wheels are 16 inch by 7inch. what size should i use to keep the same over all size.

Thanks.

I think I'm running 205/225 45/50 R15 at the moment on my 15x7 compomotives.

I'll be running 245/40/R16 Toyo Proxes/R888s on my 16x8 MOs if I ever get round to sorting out my Toyo sponsorship again lol.

You can play around with various options here and it will give you the results. http://v8scimitar.co.uk/web/Technical/C ... fault.aspx let me know if you have any problems with it but it seems to work ok for me.
