Hi everyone. Just got myself a very good rubber bumper MGB (Brownie) and about to convert it to V8 with a 3.9 RR classic engine and SD1 LT77 box. Will be great to chat to others who know more about these cars and engines and get help where needed if that's ok? Be good to see everyones cars and builds too.
Cheers,
Mike.

Nice motor. My thoughts are:
Do lots of measurements on the engine - height is very restricted.
Consider the distributorless engine from a Range Rover P38 / Disco 2. They are shorter and have the fan in a much more suitable (i.e. lower down) location.
Also consider an R380 gearbox with the tallest top gear you can get. Check out Ashcroft Transmissions for hard facts on ratios.
