Currently on the last hurdle of fitting the v8 into my gt6.I have mated the type 9 gearbox to the engine using a suitable bell housing which was supplied.I have the clutch plate & cover mounted to the flywheel.
Firstly how do I identify if this is a self centering clutch plate. The fingers are flat & then angled towards the centre on the last 10mm or so.
Once this is identified is it just a case of getting the correct clutch release bearing & carrier as adverised by Rimmer Bros.I,m assured the gearbox shaft is the same dia as the original gearbox used by rover.
Finally I have 2 bolts coming through the bell housing where it meets the gearbox. This is to mount the clutch slave cylinder.Where can I get these slave cylinders as the mounting is at 90 degrees to where the SD1 usually bolts on.Will I also need to play around with the length of the push rod.[/b]
