New PB for the MGB V8
I went to the Fuzz and the Furious thing at the Pod today. Free to get in and free to sign on. Cant be bad eh?
Only around 40 cars on site so there was no rush to do anything.
I ran a 10.77 straight off the trailer which was ace!!
Then made some adjustments and dropped back to a flat 11. Tweaked 2 things the other way and pulled a smooth 10.66 @ 126.51 so I was happy with that tune and rolled her in for a rest. Now I have a new starting point for Saturday when my Son is going to run her through to see if he can beat his pb in my car of 11.23 while Daddy plays Pit Beeatch for the day

I'm chuffed to bits mate
At the start of the year I was hoping to get a 10.99 after all last years fettling. And she made that. Now I adjust a bit more and she gives a bit more eh?
I'm know I've maxxed out this induction system now. So thats the next job on the list. Then I'll be gunning for a 10.5

Haha Perrys thinking of the 9's now!!! Spot on Pel great work Guess you cant wait to try out a high rise 360 now then eh? Did you ever remove the choke flap etc from the carb? Also after your rolling road session are you intending on trying a new cam after winter?- if I remember correctly your blower cam is leaving your engine a bit breathless at the top end..

Paul!!
I cant afford to go for Street Eliminator mate. And even if I hit my 9 second goal for 2010 I'll still be way behind what the SE guys can do now. Ron Haslett has now hit a 9.0 and Ian (fatty) Hook is well in the 7's. These are two guys I know from another forum.
I'll be happy just keeping up good times on the normal RWYB tables at the Pod.

Cheers Alan!
Its big carb and manifold time for the old girl now mate...
Hopefully have it all done for the 17th October bash back at the Pod.
So maybe a 10.5 next time. Or I've got my sums wrong and I'll go backwards again. Been there many times

I'm just back from the rollers with more data. But I'm afraid before I could complete a full power run on gas the slicks let go in a big stylee
And I cant get a new set for 8 weeks. So my PB hopes for next weekend are out of the window. She made 25bhp more without gas though
I'll have to chuck my old ET streets on now for next weekend

Coops!!
See if you can just come over for a few beers next weekend. I wont be breaking any records after todays disaster
But we will have the gazebo's up and the beer and BBQ's on the go all weekend.
I've just bought a monster 33ft x 15ft tarpaulin so my gazebo will be waterproof as well
