Flash Git!!!
Auto is the way to go for the TR7 Tricky
This means I'm going to have to look into a transbrake kit and a bigger axle if I'm to keep up with you off the line next year dude!!

It looks very interesting. My axle will be mounted with a lower 'A' frame going from the diff underside to the lower body mounts behind the seats. Then I'll have the replacement upper trailing links going rearwards so they sit in between the chassis rails and the side of the rear well. It works well like this with the current Tr axle but I suspect I'll have to do a bit more work on the 8.8" to repeat it. From a side view my axle looks/works like a watts linkage.Tricky wrote:Wanted to stay manual but know it costing .5 second at least, liked the idea of no torque converter so i can try different launch rpm without changing converter plus should be bullet proof
How have you mounted your axle?
the box looks abit special, , i dont have a clue how it works though . rich

Its a TH400 turbo clutch box made by a company called TCI, it came out
of a funny car good few years ago
then went into My mates Steve Good drag car Pulse Rate
If you look at the front of the box you will see a plate by the release bearing, this hooks it to the pressure plate and drives the oil pump in the gearbox.
Its all SFI drag race spec wont break this one
