yeah the brakes could do with being a bit bigger
Well Fast Car mag came out for a photoshoot yesterday which took 4 hours and the pics look awesome, got to be processed yet so will be even better when done, best thing is that the car used no water, temp was ok, and no excess pressure in system so I guess the water incident last week must have been an air lock or something?? Time for some new rear tyres too now tho

Ah sorry I dont believe I thanked you for them! The only problem I can see with them is they are fairly thick on the valve seal part- so the guides may need to be reduced to stop the spring retainers crushing them when at full lift. I already skimmed the guides so need to whip a rocker cover off to see how much clearance there is!

Hmmm- managed to catch a glimpse of my boost gauge for the first time today (not exactly easy to take your eyes off the road under WOT in that thing!!)- looked like 12psi in the split second I saw it No wonder it's making silly power and struggling to keep cool!!!
Although even when accelerating hard I still only need to use half throttle which is about 6-7psi so shouldn't be too much of an issue- cant explain how insanely FANTASTIC it is having a light car that will kill almost any other cars on the road by just moving your right foot down about 1"

hi Tom,topcatproduction wrote:Well things are actually going back together now! I made up a thick ally spacer and adapter to hold on the crank blower drive pulley which (after warming up) slid straight onto the front pulley and bolted up nice n tight!
Blower is also back together now, I rebuilt it completely and made the drive receiver which is the top hat thing bolted onto the RH cog, made and polished the ally blanking plate on the rear and have done a small one for the front, and started on the billet ally drive snout!
Stainless cap head bolts all round, timing set is on and front cover back on permanently.
Once I torque up the heads and sort the lifter pre-load with the shim kit I have coming I will bolt the inlet manifold on, and the blower Then just have to finish the snout, jet the carb a bit richer for a starting point, then try the engine for size in the car and probably modify the sump and maybe the headers a bit...
shiny bits- couldn't resist!
What pressure unit are you using, looks like the sort of thing im looking for to fuel my charger install
love the car, big engine little car, my sot of thing .lol
