Car to USA and Back

Post by Ian Anderson »

Hello everyone

A few years back someone on this forum shipped his car (MGB from memory to USA for a "Grand Tour" and then returned it to the UK.

In September this year there is a huge GT40 get together and I'll be there - now if I can get my car over that would be a huge bonus

so if it was you who did the trip please can you make contact and let me know the pitfalls and how to get around them

Cheers
Ian

My mate Roger did this mate.

I think he posted the car in a container a month before he left for the trip. Then when he got there he collected his MG from the port and drove it around for several weeks doing various MG events.

I'll give him a shout and see if I can put the two of you in touch !

Cheers Perry

It sounds so simple but I bet there are numerous hoops to jump through
