Military Recon V8

Post by V8Smudge »

Another what's it worth question for you guys, a mate of mine has got a military recon Rover V8 3.5, which he bought as a spare for his 101FC, he now needs to free up some space so plans to sell it, but we have no idea what it's realistically worth, John Craddocks sells them for £2900+vat! It's an 8.13:1 compression with short reach plugs, still in its military packaging and crate. Any ideas of its value would be appreciated.

Tricky!

Although a low spec unit, they had unique exhaust manifolds, oil filter arrangement and even the block was unique I think in that the dipstick came out on a different alignment.

So if somebody wants the genuineness of a 101V8, worth a packet. To everybody else, worth naff all!

Sorry that doesn't help at all I know.

Chris.

This is the problem, to the right person it's priceless, to your average V8 guy it's worthless as we all want later versions :?
