:D

So i had only done about 40 miles on the new engine build, changed the oil and headed to the 'BNG'... the big northern gathering for the TVR club.
This year was held at Sherburn aerodrome.
Fun was to be had on a disused runway. We had about 0.8 mile before having to brake and come down the return road to blast the straight again.

My first run was without gas. My speedo isnt working so i kept an eye on the tomtom. Was pleased to see 149.
Then a little tickle of gas was used and 152 was had.
Later i ran a 70 shot for the full length of the straight and saw 158 before the braking zone. I was hitting about 5900 rpm in 5th which is where my peak bhp is so was happy with that. My diff is 3.54:1 and i intend to swap to a 3.08 over the winter months so look forward to seeing if i can push the top speed to 170+ next year :D Was a bit different and a lot of fun.
