Sorry shineys mine gets dirty.

Post by mikeinatruck »

Its nice to see so many of you with really top notch shineys running V8's but I went the other way, I have an old 1986 land Rover 90, it used to be a diesel which was fun! but due to lack of hill climbing capabilities i decided to fit the V8. Its a high compression unit from a Range Rover but I changed the carbs to SU's. Now I have them tuned it goes like a rocket.

Good stuff! I'm partial to a bit of mud-plugging in my V8 Rangie too...

Just in the process of getting rid of the distributor setup (using ford EDIS8 and megajolt!), so I can go and play in the deep water too!

The Olivetti box was what my first computer came in, can't remember the name but it had a 166mhz processor and came with windows 95.

Anyway, I have the Landy all rebuilt and working again abeit with niggles. Hence thread in ignition forum but I do have a short video on you tube and pictures on photobucket.
