Sorry shineys mine gets dirty.
Its nice to see so many of you with really top notch shineys running V8's but I went the other way, I have an old 1986 land Rover 90, it used to be a diesel which was fun! but due to lack of hill climbing capabilities i decided to fit the V8. Its a high compression unit from a Range Rover but I changed the carbs to SU's. Now I have them tuned it goes like a rocket.
Before the V8
Awaiting transplant
Not really concours I know
And in it goes....

Good stuff! I'm partial to a bit of mud-plugging in my V8 Rangie too...
Just in the process of getting rid of the distributor setup (using ford EDIS8 and megajolt!), so I can go and play in the deep water too!

Poor ol things had a hard life! needs a new rear chassis outrigger on the drivers side as well. Oh an new prop shaft as the U/J shattered on it, diff locks really tear them apart!

The Olivetti box was what my first computer came in, can't remember the name but it had a 166mhz processor and came with windows 95.
Anyway, I have the Landy all rebuilt and working again abeit with niggles. Hence thread in ignition forum but I do have a short video on you tube and pictures on photobucket.
She sounds quite good when I get her running well. shame the hill does it no justice, two lockers makes it look easy.
