My DAX Rush V8

Post by v8alex »

Did the first drive out of the garage over the weekend. The build is nearly complete - just need to fit front & rear mudguards plus upholstery and a long list of snagging jobs. Nearly there though !

Nice exhausts! You may not have driven it properly yet but how do they sound? I may be after a very similar set up on my project- were they custom made?

The pipes were made and supplied by DAX. Basically a straight through system, no CAT with some wadding in the 5" bore section running along the length of the car. They sound fantastic - I blipped up to 5,000 on the weekend and the neighbours came out !

Not cheap though and bit of a bugger to fit, but well worth it.

Well it's been a little while, but I've finaly finished the car and got it through SVA. The drive is absolutely superb and the noise is the Dogs B's I tell you ! There's many fettling jobs to do now, so more questions will be posted over the coming weeks as I fine tune things

Thanks for the answers to the many questions I have raised.
