This is all within 35 miles of our place in Issaquah, Wa, USA. This pic shows
over 9 feet of snow on the side of the road, albeit 9 feet of dirty snow...

Now that's what I call a country road.

There's hardly anywhere to drive on this cramped island.

Fuel is just about US$4.00 a US gallon, but I don't care, driving the highways
and byways around here is spectacular, and while the driver has to keep his
eyes on the road, SWMBO gets to look at the scenery, and take the pictures,
which keeps her happy. She makes her own x-mas cards from the piccys
on the drives we take...

That country road is called "Interstate 90", or I-90 for the locals, it starts
in Boston, Massachusetts, and ends in Seattle, Washington. These pics
were taken last weekend about 50 miles from Seattle, it was a good drive...
No, it was a great drive...

And how much of that is tax?? Remember, the US gallon is 1/5th
short of the Imperial gallon, so it's probably closer than you think
cost wise, but the Capri gets 25mpg at 70mph in overdrive...

I did allow for the fact that a US gallon is different to a UK gallon.

It's gone up since then too by 10%

It's somewhere around 85% tax I believe...!!!!!
