Do they have to be mounted upright? and is it possible to use flexi lines to supply to the jets so they can moved out of the way a bit
So thats where it went !
They can be mounted any way really. There are some basic rules for the ay the fuel solenoids should be fitted. mainly to ensure air naturally vents out of the fuel line before the solenoid and the solenoid itself.

So its a sniper or cheater kit etc...
Is that a pressure reg between the fuel filter and the solenoid??
If you have tapped off the 5psi supply for the carb from the same pump that wont be needed. Or do you have a separate pump running higher psi for the nitrous fuel supply ??
The main thing to think about is fuel delivery. If you run nitrous at 800-1000 psi then the speed of that nitrous will get to the plate in a heartbeat. But petrol running at 5-6 psi will take an age to get to the plate. You need to make sure that the petrol and gas hit at the same time, or even make sure the petrol gets there a bit before the gas??
Give us some more info on:
Fuel pressure.
Nitrous pressure control (bottle heater etc)
How much gas you want to flow.
How long is the line from nos bottle to engine.

Hi perry, yeah sniper kit, i only wanted to move the solenoids as they look pant's where they are ! but as your asking seperate supply from the tanl through a facet solid state pump... err 6 psi ? to the regulator and filter in 8mm pipe. nitrous line is standard kit length , about 4m ? and the bottle just sits in the boot empty i've got a rebuilt engine going in towards the end of next month and that will need running in, it'll probably the end of september at the hot rod drags before it's used, oh it's set for a 50bhp shot ..... sh!t i've already asked that

You need to go back to basics now. And you will need to do some basic flow testing. I know this sounds like a bit of a faff. But if you want the best results then you need to get this poop sorted before you go on track really..
Ditch the fuel pressure regulator for a start.
Then fit a fuel pressure gauge in its place.
Then pull the plate of the engine so you can flow fuel through the fuel jet and out of the spray bar into a big jug.
You need to operate the solenoid and see how much fuel flows into the jug in 10 seconds and also monitor the fuel pressure on the gauge while doing this.
Make sure you have purged all the air out of the fuel line up to the solenoid before you do this test.
Make sure that you do the test for a proper 10 seconds and let us know how many ml's of fuel you flowed and at what pressure. This will tell us the actual hp amount of fuel you have flowed.
Once we know how much fuel you can flow on the 50hp fuel jet we can talk about the nitrous side of the system..
If you have the stock 4metre -4 size braided hose with the bottle in the boot you will need to make sure that the bottle pressure is at least 850 psi before doing a flow test on the nitrous.

change the rupture disc to the SPRV valve.
