I've got a hilux running 2.2 carb, 4 cylinder in the truck at the moment. this is going to be replaced with a rover 3.9efi unit (not the Hotwire system so I'm told??) anyway.... what bit's can I reuse from the gas system I have already? What do I need to buy to get the V8 running on gas? and roughly what will it cost to buy the parts??

All standard 3.9 Rovers were Hotwire, so if it's not, then it's a 'bitser' in some way.
The only special bits for gas on the Rover is the mixer (to fit the intake).
It's worth checking that the vapouriser is big enough for the engine.
It's also worth buying a new vapouriser & mixer as a matched set.
