4 barrel Propane Carbs?

Post by petrol head »

Hello all. New to this Site.

As the wife would say I'm having another one none of my "great ideas".

I have got meself a Gems 4.6 as a base engine and intend to see if I can live life on Propane alone.

Trundling round the WWW I found this image and thought it might be an interesting starting point.....

I want to go back to a dizzy, take out the mechanical springs and use the MSD 6530 to remap the curve to suit.

Has anyone else gone this route with a 4 barrel?

Cheers

Steve

Edelbrock make LPG carbs; and Impco ( both USA ) make adaptors: LPG/4BBL manifolds

Not sure about the mixer, but I run a 4.6 on LPG alone, and have no issues with cold starts etc.
