3.5 RV8 EFi to carb for LPG
Which is the best setup to convert to LPG and carb on a 1988 Rangey, since a good multipoint system runs about 2k from my research so far!?
Hi
I'm running a single point/efi and to be honest, once you have got it all dialed in PROPPERLY its pretty darn good! The biggest restriction is the mixer ring, but to be honest, unless you are running a fairly high state of tune its not as bad as you might think. I often found that an engine making say 180BHP (ford pinto) with webber 48 DCOE's would still make 170+ on 45's!!!!! (and be alot nicer to drive). The reasion for this is simply that the engine is forced to 'suck' a little harder and 'self compensates' to a degree. I'm no RV8 expert, but thats my opinon
Hope that helps
