Chrysler injector plugs

Post by badger »

Guys, I'm struggling. I need to convert my Chrysler 300c Hemi to LPG, but because of warranty issues I cannot splice into the injector wires. I need male and female electrical connectors that match the petrol injector/harness, qty 8 of each. I've searched all the suppliers links I can find including via the Megasquirt forums but so far can't find anything! Anyone got any ideas on this one? Please?

X-posted to electrical section as well.

I can't be sure for your engine, but generally injector plugs are 2 pin Junior Power Timer connections. Have you searched the interweb for those?

Yeah, I can get those in abundance without any problems Chris, but they don't fit. They are the standard Lucas/Bosch fitment, totally different from the Chrysler/Jeep stuff.
Thanks for taking the time to reply anyway, it's appreciated.

If I can take a photo of the injector connection at some point and see if I can upload it, then I will.

Found them! Got some coming from america via ebay!!!

Turns out they are "EV6" or "UScar" connectors........ and the septics refer to out Junior Power Timer style as "EV1".

OOps, now you come to mention it!

Nice tidy job there. Good to see somebody else making stuff from angle iron!

Angle iron is your friend, box section is it's cousin,

Seriously though, there's no other substitute for a good, solid tank mounting.

I'm getting roughly 15mpg on my daily commute (all 3 miles of it!) and 20-odd mpg on a longer run on gas, why the heck would anyone want a stinking smelly didiesel?
When I do the maths, LPG here is currently half the price of "liquid tar", so that means I'm running at 30 mpg local and 40-odd mpg on a longer run when compared to the equivalent 300c CRD diesel version, now that can't be bad for a 5.7 Hemi V8 8-)
