I'm confused.
The way I understood it was the multivalve shut the gas off from the rest of the system unless the solenoid was activated.
This doesn't seem to be the case, I've tried 3 multivalves now (including one brand new one), and all of them release gas from the pipe that feeds the system if I undo it at either end.
Am I just barking up the wrong tree and the valve doesn't really shut the supply off, or is something wrong?
To recap, I've got the solenoid on the multivalve, which then goes via a 6mm pipe to another cut-off solenoid in the engine bay, which then goes via another 6mm pipe to the vapouriser (which also has it's own solenoid).
Cheers, Martin

Is this definitely a constant flow or is it just venting the pressure already in the pipe? From my very recent experience, when fitting an additional tank, I know that it does sometimes seem to take forever to vent!! Have a little commitment and chance leaving it for a while after cracking the nut and see what happens!! ( I would advise doing this with as little LPG in the tank as possible just in case!!) Mine definitely shut off at the tank.
Nope, it definitely keeps going until all the gas is gone... I changed the multivalve recently on one of my tanks, ran the car on idle until the gas had almost gone, then it took a good hour or so (only undid the pipe that runs to the engine bay a little) to let the rest of the gas out. Then, when I undid the multivalve via it's 6 bolts, there was no further release of pressure...
Could it be that I have 3 faulty valves, including the new one I just put in?
The more I play with LPG, the more I love petrol! lol
