How does a 'westfield style' front entrance plunum effect air flow?
Does anyone know of any measurements that have been done?
Performance wise would the standard side entrance plenum perform better?

Tom.
With boost it will make very little difference.. But I'd try and retain as much height between the top of the trumpets and the lid as possible.

The original plenums had an air divider inside it - which Landrover insisted that westfield fit to retain warranty - I removed it as it seemed to just fill what little room there was inside the plenum - and there was another seight owner who did a back to back test and found slightly more power with it removed.

If you had the room, i would use a later gems plenum as they are slightly taller.
ACT make a very nice carbon front entry plenum - but its expensive.

Thanks chaps,

Think i'm going to have to modify the plenum so the throttle body is central and in front.

Is there an ideal distance for the throttle plate to the plenum? Is too far or too near bad for performance?

Tom.
