454 ci Big Block Chevy turbo question.
Hi all, a question on behalf a friend.
He has a 454ci bbc in his pro street capri and wants to turbocharge the thing at some point but like many is not made of money. He can take care of ALL the fabbing required to mount the units but the question is what units to use, would a couple of those holsett truck thingumies do the job?
Any other suggestions?

V8'less but a fountain of dorky knowledge ref v8's!
2 T70's should do the trick

Perhaps Jukka or some of the other Scandanavian guys can comment on the Holset stuff.
They seem to use them in that part of the world more than others.
Some info...not too much on power etc.

Well, this is where i'm going to look completely noobie but i think i could do with someone else telling me which of the many holsett's would best suit his requirements. The hx35's seem to crop up alot so would they be good?
His engine in n/a form is making 440hp at the wheels which seems lame to me but he's pretty chuffed with it but i would think he's got the strength to break 100 bhp so what two holset's would be capable of that?

If this is anything to go by, and its a little tricky to tell..
The HX35 is a baby turbo.

In all honesty, a cheap big single turbo would be the way to go here.
A decent T76 which would spool fast on an engine that size, and be capable of an easy 700+ ( a very easy 700+ ) would cost around $1200-1300 or so, which at current exchange rates, really is buttons.

If there is one area worth spending money on with a turbocharged build, it IS on the turbocharger itself.
