Twin Plenum Throttle Shafts Help Needed.....
Moderator: phpBB2 - Administrators
Your a star Reg,
any chance of some pictures? as a picture can say a thousand words, and stand more chance off selling the shafts then,
We can look at eBay as many of the TP's sold on there in the end need shafts too.
Once i have a few pictures of the new shaft(s) i will contact a few groups that i know of, and will advertise them on my web site too for you.
thought about rimmer bros??????
Once again thanks mate

have now fitted and tested the above shafts and they are spot on,
i had a binding problem at first, which was due to my plates not adjusted in the plenum properly.
If any one needs replacement TP shafts then defo contact Reg about theses ones.

I was thinking the same thing Ramonramon alban wrote:Is it possible to obtain a copy of the engineering drawings used to re-manufacture these spindles and make them available to the V8 TP community through various archives?
If the wheel has already been invented, no sense in doing it all over again if the draughtsman is willing.

If someone has a good sample to show, any good machinist will soon whip up a working drawing to make new ones from.
As for the stainless binding up, if you bushed the body with phosphor bronze you should get away with it, but bearings would be first prize if you can manage to seal them so no air is sucked through.
