Edelbrock Accelerator Cable RB7278

Post by 3xpendable »

Rimmer Bros seem to be the only place in the UK I can see that sell an accelerator cable for the Edelbock 500 CFM 4 barrel carb, but it's quite expensive so I'm wondering if this is the only option or what other people have done? Can you make a bracket and use a standard MGB cable?

I made a bracket and used a simple bicycle brake cable. Cost maybe 2 quid for the cable.

I have a brake servo take-off behind the carb, hence the bracket has a notch. If the take-off is plugged the bracket would be a straight piece of bent steel.

These cable kits are £24 + vat from Real Steel. I've bought a few in the last year.
