Valve stem seals.

Post by jenand40 »

Education required, please.

Why are valve stem seals only fitted to the inlet valve and not the exhaust valve?
Would it be an advantage to fit to both valves?

Later RV8's had seals on both inlet and exhaust. Less chance of oil spoiling the pollution readings.

There is more chance of oil getting sucked down an inlet than an exhaust stem.
