4 barrel carb. studs

Post by Will Reeve »

Silly question of the day. Edelbrock carb. to inlet manifold. There are 8 locations for the studs on both the carb. and inlet…I know it won’t make any real world difference but should I use the inner or outer set of 4? I am thinking outer?

Hi Will, I have the Edelbrock performer manifold with the Weber 500 and that uses the outer set. Using the outer set makes it easier with the spanner work anyway.
I see no reason for there being any difference.

Thanks Mike. I was expecting to only find one set drilled and tapped but no all 8 holes are duplicated in all parts. I am guessing this is due to making everything compatible with a different make of carb/inlet. Holly maybe?
Looking forward to the weekend to bolt it all together.
The last piece of the jigsaw has just arrived (a Fram PCV) and lots of silicone hoses....
