I'm thinking an oil cooler might be a good idea on a 4.6L tucked into a Morris Minor engne bay!
Anything specific I should look for? Size of rad?
I see that Mocal comes up a lot in searches. They to an adapter that sits inbetween the oil filter and pump which also has a thermostat in it.
Any other brands worth looking at?

Re: Oil cooler recommendations
What are your actual oil temps?
I also thought I might need an oil cooler in my supercharged 4.6 in a Dax Rush (very small frontal area and intercooler blocking part of the radiator) but I haven't seen oil temps higher than 110degs C (sat in traffic on a very hot summer day) which is fine for my oil.
If I was seeing temps of 120+ then I would consider an oil cooler.
In Landrovers these engines have a harder time just moving the car through the air - in a car these engines have a much easier time cruising.

Will fit a gauge and see what my temps are doing.SuperV8 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 18, 2021 8:40 amWhat are your actual oil temps?

Make sure you read the instructions, some are ok at 14v (alternator charging) and others need a voltage regulator to 10v
Get it wrong and your readings will also be wrong.
