I was amazed to find that my 4.6 block not only has bolt holes in the right place for the windage tray from my old engine (from a 1972 p6b) but the threads are tapped the same too
I'm not sure yet if there will be enough clearance for the crank, if not is there any reason why I can't use spacers between the block and tray instead of bending it down along the middle?
Just wondering if vibration might eventually fracture the tray if it isn't held against the block along the full length each side?

I have the windage tray on my 4.6 and no clearance issues at all with the crank and rods

If using sd1 sump you will need to do a little fetling with a hammer where the front journals of the crank are, i thought there was clearance until we started the engine lol
