Just reading up on all this porting and larger valves. Is the effort worth the result?
Really interested to hear how it feels as well as if it made a difference to fuel consumption and hp/torque figures.

Really depends what you are happy to spend for whatever result you are hoping to achieve.

RV8 heads are very restrictive, so yes porting will help. But things like this work in tandem with other modifications too, whether that's camshaft, exhaust, intake etc etc.

In general n/a tuning generally yields mild results per £££ spent

This is a good read . Shows pix, dimensions and diagrams of various stages of porting Rover heads. Tells you how to do it and what tools /methods are best . If you want to port your heads this ( and David Vizards porting book ) are almost a must have .🙂
I wish I was young again , Id be heaps smarter than the first time
