Stock 4.6 cam?

Post by Tony Andrews »

Anyone know the duration and valve timing of the 4.6 oem camshaft specifically @ .050 lift?

No, but I can give you zero-lift figures if that helps?

EP - ?
LCA - 115
Lift - 0.41"

can't remember where these came from, so no guarantees as to accuracy, but my memory suggests they came from L/R publications.

Yeah, I have the s/s numbers "badger" - someone posted those over on BV8. Just curious - as more accurate to compare with .050 lift.

For it's purpose, the factory folks provided a decent grind with the stock heads. In fact, the shorter 112 exhaust lobe appears to be perfect for n/o.

I can't see any reason to swap out stock cam (street car) unless using headers (which I have), larger exhaust and big valve heads. Me thinks n/o will provide the biggest "bang" for the buck!
