Rover v8 short front cover oil pump base thread size

Post by baggers »

Evening all!

As above in the title, believe that the cover is an SD1 unit. I am using a pump base to permit me to move the oil filter to a remote location in my MGB.

I think the thread is PROBABLY metric and M6 but before I run out and buy a load of bolts and get it wrong 3 times :D wanted to see if anyone can advise me please.

Cheers.

Most threads on the RV8 are UNC, not metric. Excepting pipe threads.

The bolts that hold the pump base to the main cover are 1/4" UNC
