Mallory Upgrade update

I have just received my Petronix upgrade kit for the Mallory twin point dizzy.
Should I keep the Ballast Resistor.

Petronix recommend you remove it but also say it is Ok to leave.

I have an unrated coil so I assume this will also be OK to keep.

I had pertronix kit for my standard one, but it does say that the coil needs to be of a specific resistance, ohms, i bought a new pertronix one rather than scrap the lot, john

Yep Pertronix states that as long as the coil is 0.6ohm or greater then all is OK. I will measure mine and use accordingly.
