Mallory Twin Point Electronic upgrade.

I am told the upgrade is very easy.
Replace points base with new base + pickup.
3 wires, +ve, ground and coil.
I was told you do not even have to redo the timing!

Can I use it together with my Mallory Hyfire VI AL.

And is this reliable, because I take my Landy to Africa.
Or is it better to stick with the contacts and Mallory Hyfire Vi AL?
