Had a rumage about in my bit and bobs today and found a head with the earth stud on, :)
rumaged a bit more and found a nut that fitted :) ,
rumaged further found two new anti-rattle washers (serated ones) :D :D

After an hour on the wire wheel this afternoon the stud looks like brand new,

Spent the afternoon round the garage fitted the stud, rewired earth side of ecu back to the stud, have used crimp joiners until i can get to the car with a soldering iron and do proper soldered joints,
car started and ran fine in the garage, just need to get time to plug laptop in and monitor whats going on and see if i still got the noise spike,

Thanks to every one who has been looking for one of these studs,

In motorsport, and heavy electrical connections, nearly everything is crimped ( even OE cars )

It is recognised as a proper, solid jointing technique.

Of course, that also assumes proper crimps, tools etc...

I was advised by Motorsport electrician NOT to solder any joints, the solder will cause a hard spike up the wire and cause a shear/fatigue point in the wire, His qualification, Time served with Prodrive, built the looms for the WRC cars, and Latterly electronics engineer for a Leading F1 team.

and yes propper crimping tool as use them on the wiring at work,

took the car for a run today (sorry had to :twisted: )
and did a data log while driving and so far no electrical spike, :P :P

also changed the coolant enrichment settings and it starts a bit better when cold now, added more fuel (don't stall after you start her now when cold) fingers crossed i have nearly got the fueling sorted, :lol:
