Aftermarket ecu choice

Post by Chris1976 »

Looking for standalone ecu to go on 3.5 rover, the engine will be getting a supercharger and I want to fit efi too, tried to contact extraefi but can’t get in touch, megasquirt? Speeduino?
Looking for recommendations please

Same answer, always.

Pick your tuner first, then decide on whatever ecu they can give you the best results for what you need, and within your budget.

there are dozens of ecu's out there, some tuners won't touch many of them....so don't get caught out buying something nobody wants to work with.

And detail exactly what you need the ecu to do for you.

I'm using megasquirt for my supercharged 4.6 rover V8.

Quite a hands on option which you will probably need to do lots of learning/research.

As mentioned, if you're getting a tuner to tune if for you - pick an ECU which they are happy to tune.
