Position of the MAF sensor

Post by acs »

On a hotwire setup

Does the MAF sensor have to be level or can I run the MAF sensor on a 45Deg incline?

Cheers for any answers

Cool thanks I hoped not.

Is there any reason why I can not lean off my mixture. I'm running at about about 8% Co2 at the moment and adjusting the mixture screw seems to make no difference.

What am I missing?

Ah now this is interesting.

I have the one in from my orginal 3.5 V8 Carb'd rather then the one from the 3.9 because it never made any readings.

Is I didn't think that the temperature sensor was linked in the loom to the ecu?

So that brings the next question is it the switch which has 2 prongs or the single which connects to the guage?

Thanks for this off to Iceland tomorrow and I don't want to burn this much fuel.

Cheers

there are two water temp sensors on an efi rover. One is in the front of the inlet manifold by the stat. This one only does the dash gauge. The other is in the top of the manifold, I cant remember exactly where now. This one must be connected into the EFI loom. Am sure someone will be along shortly to tell you exactly where it is.
