Hi
I killed off the original AM5 Mass Air Flow Meter and have replaced it with a Britpart one. Prior to fitting I checked the voltage & found it to be 1.89vdc , I retrimmed this to 1.8 vdc(for a catalysed engine) as per the write up - went for a spin to warm everything up and then measured the CO , this was reading around 0.1 -0.2 %.
The Landrover Engine Manual states this should be 0.5 -1% but dosnt say if that's with or without catalysts ?
Can anyone enlighten me

Re: Setting hotwire CO
Pretty much any car with a functional cat, MOT emissions will be sub 0.2% for CO at idle
So either 0.5-1.0% is for a non cat vehicle or pre-cat.

I’ve only worked on the non-cat versions of the 14CUX but from what I’ve read my understanding is that the system will learn the requirements of the fuelling via the closed loop feedback from the lambdas and adjust/trim for this. This would happen quickly after the engine is warm.
