Electrical stuff on a 3.9 efi

Post by danbm »

I'm putting a 3.9 efi in my LR Series III, but things went a bit out of hand when it comes to the efi electrical.

Image
As i remember the wires where connected before i removed the engine from the old car the solid white is connected to plus.
The black and white goes (3) goes in under the dashboard (1) and a brown (2) comes back from the dashboard and should go to minus.
Where does this b/w go? And where does the brown come frome?
I've been looking at the sheets, and i suspect it goes to the CAPASITOR... Where is capasitor located and how does it look?

The two wires (marked 4 and 5) what are they for, and where should they go? Both are brown with a orange stripe...

I'm a bit lost :?
Thanks for any help!

Best not to guess with stuff like this.

Has anybody scanned in the hotwire wiring diagram?

Chris.

The 2 brown/orange wires should be joined together. Someone has previously cut the wire and inserted a relay for knocking out the petrol injection for running on LPG I'd assume.

If I'd used my eyes, maybe i'd seen this thread before asking stupid questions!

Now things should be up and running in no-time
